Beginning in March 2014, the PDCDC annually has hosted the Downtown Experience Awards Dinner. The Downtown Experience Awards is the night for corporate, elected, entrepreneurial, and community leaders to celebrate the impact of their collective efforts in the rebirth of Downtown. Hundreds of the region’s top leaders in business, philanthropy, and government will be in attendance. It is one of Pittsburgh’s signature annual events.
We are honored to have the opportunity to express our gratitude to those whose dedication and hard work consistently better our city center and whose impact ripples throughout the region.
The 2018 PDCDC Downtown Experience Awards Dinner
Our first year dinner was at the Rivers Club, where we sold out 300 tickets in three weeks. In year two, we moved to a larger venue at the Fairmont, where we could seat 400. Once again, we sold out in three weeks. After the 2015 year’s sold out celebration, we moved the event to an even larger venue at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh where we sold out the last two years.. This year we will be going back to the Wyndham. Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 21st. Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 immediately followed by dinner.
The exclusive Downtown Experience Awards recognizes groups and individuals who have made a significant impact on our vibrant Downtown community. This year’s recipients are State Representative Jake Wheatley, Public servant of the year; McKnight Realty, Downtown Corporation of the year; and Arthur Ziegler from Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation, Non-Profit person of the year.
